This is the electric current that remains on your circuits or power supply even when you have not connected your power supply or battery.

On Dell Chargers there is green / blue light indicator which shows its transmitting power. Change the power source where the adapter is connected. The first thing to check is to see if the laptop is getting any power. NB: A lot of users have also added helpful suggestions on the comments section Power supply and charger Today I will share a couple of things I learned you can do if your Dell laptop won’t turn on before taking it to the repair: Tried a couple of tricks I knew and eventual had a chat with Dell customer service who were very helpful. I connected the laptop to the charger but still the computer showed no signs of life. Thinking maybe the battery had been completely drained. I had been too lazy to charge it so I left it like that. I mentioned him to my friend who might have him do the work.I had watched a movie the previous night until the computer had hibernated when the battery was low. He mentions that he can fix the motherboard power connector issue for $98 plus shipping which is a pretty good deal. I have found a guy who can install of more durable power connector on the motherboard but I have not specifically had any repairs done by this individual. My Internet research shows this is most likely a motherboard power connector assembly issue (short out), and it can be repaired without replacing the entire motherboard. I know a new motherboard would fix the problem but I was looking for a cheaper solution.

I was hoping that his laptop would operate at 100% CPU and charge the battery also but no luck on both of those. I was able to get him a generic replacement power adapter from ebay ($10) and he is once again operating at 50% CPU (max) like before. My friend's Dell 600m laptop (who I helped with the F7 F8 keyboard combo as previously mentioned in the previous post) was able to use his computer for couple weeks at a maximum of 50% CPU power.
